Dr. VALERIE DOWIS

Dr. Valerie Dowis graduated from Sherman Chiropractic College in 2017, shortly after she and her husband relocated to Beaufort, South Carolina where she opened her practice—in a town that holds many cherished childhood memories for her.

While in chiropractic school, Dr. Valerie began specializing in pediatric and prenatal chiropractic care, recognizing a strong need for expanded family-focused care in the Beaufort community. She is also trained in infant Craniosacral Therapy (CST) and works closely with trusted local professionals, including pediatric dentists, lactation consultants, OB-GYNs, and midwives. This collaborative approach allows her to better support mothers and infants, particularly those navigating feeding challenges and early developmental concerns.

Dr. Valerie and her husband are parents to two young boys, an experience that has only deepened her knowledge, passion, and commitment to educating and empowering parents through chiropractic care.

In addition to chiropractic, Dr. Valerie has pursued advanced education in functional medicine, which she happily incorporates into her practice. Her primary focus is helping individuals—both adults and children—heal from a functional, whole-body approach that addresses the root cause rather than just symptoms.
